What is Pronto Comics?

We’re an independent group of comic book creators helping each other self-publish both group and solo projects, build portfolios, and put on workshops.

How can I join?

Our monthly meetings are the first Thursday of every month at Pearl Studios in Midtown Manhattan. All are welcome. Follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.

How much does it cost to be in Pronto Comics?

Not a thing. There’s no membership fee. We work on a donation system and this has worked very well for us. The cost of running the company consists of renting the room where we meet and booking tables at comic conventions.

How much experience do I need?

We take everyone as they are. Whether you have no experience in creating comics, or have experience working with a major company, Pronto Comics has a variety of ongoing projects that can help people according to their experience and schedule.

What if I have solo projects?

Pronto Comics will help anyone get their project off the ground. In order to be considered a member of Pronto Comics, one must collaborate on one of the company’s publications.

What if I can’t make it to the meeting?

If your location and/or job make it impossible to make it to meetings or events, don’t worry. So long as one keeps in contact with the group via email, they’ll be able stay in the loop and send in scripts and artwork.
