We’ve got some exciting news about NYCC this year.
First off we have an exciting book debuting this year: Create, Destroy, Repeat – A comic anthology of rebirth and redemption.
Also we have an exciting list of guest creators and signings this year:
Louis Shaffer of Shadow Rabbit Art
Craig Johnson – Creator of The Legend of Pinky – will be signing Thursday and Friday.
The Legend of Pinky Book I follows Irving Horowitz, AKA “Pinky”, a Jewish man in the 1920s who is heavily invested in organized crime. The story is a complex tale featuring a protagonist whose morality shifts from panel-to-panel.
Alexa Cassaro -Creator of Cyclops Girl – will be signing all day Friday.
I am an Illustrator and cartoonist from the NY, NJ area. Much of my work is YA related, consisting of very strong sassy female characters, sensitive males, and curious genderless characters, existing in an emotional and dramatic world. The comics I write tend to have LGBTA+ and Gender Identity subjects. I support all the angsty confused teens. My work is for you guys.
Joe Ciano – Writer of Tales of Happenstance – will be signing all day Saturday.
Joe Ciano is the most recent comic book writer you’ve read about. Lucky you! He makes his home in Long Island, New York. Joe enjoys working in all genres of fantasy and exploring everything the medium has to offer. His work is not autobiographical as he has never been a werewolf, except for Halloween when he was younger. Joe has always had a passion for comic books and story telling. After years of scripting stories, Joe jumped into the deep end with Tales of Happenstance (featured on this site…seriously, you should read it). Joe continues his comic book pursuits and will continue to add new comic content to this site along with video and other stuff he has planned but can’t get into. When he’s not writing comics, Joe can be found cheering for his sports teams, hanging with friends, and working on whatever comes next.
David Rondinelli – Creator of NODE – Will be signing all day Sunday.
His published works can be seen in BLACKOUT, MANGA NATION, and STRANGE STORIES. He also self-publishes his other one-shots and an ongoing title NODE, under his own logo Horizon Line Comics. You can contact David via email and follow him on Twitter.
Dennis Knight – Writer of Cross – will be signing all weekend at our booth!
Creator Dennis Knight has been creating comics for over six years. On the suggestion of his penciler, he decided to submit his book Cross to Pronto Comics. Fusing science fiction with urban living, Knight’s book has been greeted with accolades on the convention circuit, leading to a special kind of alchemy between Pronto Comics and Cross. Reach him by email, follow him on Twitter, become a fan of his comic book on Facebook.
